This is usually the area of most need. Leaders coordinate potluck meals for the group (who brings what) and lead the scheduling of group meetings. Along with the hosts, leaders help move the meeting along smoothly. People who have the spiritual gifts of teaching or administration enjoy being supper club leaders. Please also read about some ways to get your Supper Club group off to a great start.

I can accommodate people.

The host will not be responsible for any food preparation. Hosts only prepare their homes for Supper Club and have drinks and dinnerware ready. Hosts work with their leaders to move the meeting along smoothly and help the other members of the group feel welcome.

What is Supper Club?

At DaySpring we often talk about transformation... being transformed through worship, through prayer, and through service. Being in relationship with others is another way of being transformed, and the central part of Supper Club is knowing one another on a deeper level.

Supper Club is a way to build relationships with other members of our church family. Supper clubs are intergenerational groups. They include people who are new to Dayspring as well as people who have been a part of Dayspring for a long time. The groups meet about once a month during the school year for potluck meals. The only item on the agenda is to get to know one another and learn how to care about each other.

Each meeting usually consists of:

A typical Supper Club group has 10-12 people in it. One person or couple hosts all of the meetings at their home. Another person or couple leads the group by communicating with everyone in the group about meeting times and what to bring to each potluck. Everyone else in the group brings food to meetings and tries to communicate with the leader about their own availability.

Supper Clubs will meet approximately 3-4 times in the fall and 3-4 times in the spring. Groups will form in September and continue meeting through May.
