Dear DaySpringers,
I write today with gladness. Our Giving Back, Building Forward campaign begins this Sunday! Our Coordinating Council and the many who have served on campus master-planning and building teams have worked faithfully to bring forward to us a building project that will provide our community with additional space and will reconfigure existing space to be hospitable, inviting, and useful. As a congregation, we responded with a unanimous vote to proceed on September 24, 2023.
We also authorized entering into a campaign to raise money for the project, estimated to cost $2.4 million. We want to finance no more than $1 million when the project is finished, so we need $1.4 million. The good news is that generous early giving and funds on hand put us over $400,000 already!
This Sunday, February 25, you will hear important announcements about our capital campaign. Our goal is to pledge $1 Million to be given over three years.
This campaign is being launched after months (years!) of preparation, and we are looking forward to this experience of prayer, challenge, and generosity in the month ahead. I’m glad to say that over 30 dedicated people have already been working and planning behind the scenes. If you have not yet been invited to help with the campaign’s work, don’t worry, there is still plenty to do. Here’s an abbreviated calendar of activities to be watching for and to participate in:

The next two Sundays you have the opportunity to pick up campaign materials while you are at church. Please fill out a simple card and exchange it for campaign materials that will inform and inspire you. You will save us mailing costs by picking it up in person.
Please note that our campaign includes a Gathered Table experience which will occur March 10 through March 23. I hope everyone will attend a gathering for information, prayer, encouragement, and good food shared together.
The title of our campaign is Giving Back, Building Forward. You will hear more about the meaning of this title in the weeks ahead. I invite you to embrace our campaign and to pray daily for our future and your part in it.
