College & Careers Ministry

Mission Statement/ About Us

The DaySpring College and Careers ministry exists to cultivate a community of belonging that seeks to follow in the way of Jesus together.
Core Values
Curiosity and Contemplation
-
We are a church and a college ministry in which questions are welcomed and encouraged, rather than silenced or avoided.
-
We seek to foster curiosity about God, one another, ourselves, and the world.
-
We practice contemplative prayer, incorporating silence and simple songs into our worship.
Celebration and Simplicity
-
We celebrate by eating together as often as possible, and our events often center around preparing food together (especially bread!).
-
We celebrate through events connected to feast days in the church calendar, like All Saints Day and the Feast Day of Saint Nicholas.
-
We spend time together in simple ways, and everyone contributes to make events and time together possible.
Embodied Spirituality
-
We celebrate the goodness of creation and emphasize our responsibility to care for the natural world.
-
We recognize the importance of mental health for our relationship with God and others, and are committed to walking alongside one another in all kinds of mental health journeys.
