Cleaning Zone 1: Sanctuary Building A: Hymnals, Furniture & Kitchen Closest cleaning closet: between bathrooms in the Narthex Sanctuary • Clean the sanctuary of debris and trash on and under the chairs • Put all old worship guides & papers into the recycle bin • Place items in lost and found (or trash as appropriate) • Arrange hymnals all facing the same way, on every other chair, at least • Align/Tidy chairs • Put offering plates under chairs (1st row and dotted row) Kitchen • Tidy the kitchen • Put away clean dishes that may be in the drying rack and dishwasher • Wash and dry and store any dirty dishes • Empty trash cans and recycling*; replace liners 33-gallon bags, under the sink • Check dish soap and hand soap supply (above sinks) Part of DaySpring’s sustainability efforts include refillable soap dispensers at all sinks. Please refill using the bulk soap in the storage closet BEFORE using disposable dispensers. Disposable dispensers should be used when we are out of the refill bottles. • Always check the kitchen for any food that’s left out Be on the lookout for ants or pests. Cleaning Zone 2: Sanctuary Building B: Floors, Cobwebs, & Windows Closest cleaning closet: between bathrooms in the Narthex Sanctuary • Do a cobweb run around the Sanctuary in corners, doorways, etc. • Feather dust hymn racks under the seats for cobwebs • Dust the wooden platform area with the special mop and cleaner The sun shines through the windows during the service and shows everything. The special mop and cleaner is labeled with an orange label to use for the new floor on the platform. There is a spray bottle and a refill container. • Dust sanctuary furniture with a clean, dry cloth Do not use furniture polish on any of the sanctuary pieces • Sweep concrete floors in with a broom/dust mop* Narthex • Check furniture in Narthex for cobwebs • Sweep concrete floors in with a broom/dust mop* Kitchen • Sweep concrete floors in with a broom/dust mop* • Use wet mop when necessary * Use dust mop treatment as needed (a spray can to clean the mop head).

Cleaning Zone 3: Sanctuary Building C: Narthex, Bathrooms, Classrooms Closest cleaning closet: between bathrooms in the Narthex Narthex • Vacuum inside and outside rugs • Clean windows on the exterior doors • Empty recycling bin*; replace liner 13-gallon bags Classrooms • Empty trash cans and recycling*; replace liners 8-gallon bags • Vacuum carpet (folding chairs can be left out) Check vacuum bag and replace if filled. Bathrooms - Men’s and Women’s • Clean and sanitize doorknobs, sinks, toilets • Clean mirrors • Sweep and mop floors • Restock toilet paper in stalls, with one extra on the top of the tank • Refill paper towels in wall units These require the key in the women’s bathroom drawer. Do not insert the key all the way. Cleaning Zone 4: Chapel, Pastor’s Office & Bathrooms Cleaning supplies are in the restroom next to the Chapel in the wicker cabinet. The mop and broom should also be there. The vacuum is kept in Eric’s office in the closet behind the restroom. Check vacuum bag and replace if filled.Lysol wipes are in the buffet drawers. More cleaning supplies are available in the supply room behind Tiffani’s office, or in the narthex between the men’s and women’s restrooms.
