Dear DaySpringers,
We have talked about it for months, and now the time has come. April/ May is going to be the time for action for Giving Back and Building Forward!
Our goal on May 5 is to pledge at least $1 million to reconfigure and expand our children’s building area to create a large gathering area, youth room, children’s classes, secure nurseries, a single point of entry, and a large and inviting terrace.
As we look ahead to our commitment celebration on May 5, we are asked to intentionally and prayerfully consider what a giving commitment will look like for each of us as individuals or households. Our campaign teams have been busy creating ways to do that.
Spiritual Formation classes will offer ways to consider sacrificial generosity as a spiritual practice.
An invitational reflection will be part of each week's worship service.
The Advance Commitment Showcase on April 14 will be fun and informative and allow a chance for each household to "jump-start" the pledge campaign with a preliminary total, announced on April 28.
On May 5, everyone is invited to pledge their contribution toward this campaign.
Pray
Our team has composed a prayer guide with prompts for daily prayer. You are encouraged to spend time in prayer this month with each of these daily prompts.
Participate
We encourage our whole church family to participate in our formation series these four weeks. This series gives voice to the spiritual foundation of the capital campaign we're undertaking together and the spirituality of our relationship with finances. Our leaders will be Steve King, Amy Toney, Barry Harvey, and Jeff Strietzel, with discussions led by Jennifer Kemper.

Our "Giving Back, Building Forward" capital campaign kicks off with a bang at our Advance Commitment Showcase on Sunday, April 14 from 5:30-7:00 pm. All are invited to join us for dinner, campaign motivation, and a fun evening of enjoying the gifts and talents of DaySpringers. Emceed by Christina Gibson, the Showcase will feature ragtime piano, guitar singers, an art interpretation, poetry recitation, bagpipes, and a revival of the Contemplative Desperados! Our children and youth will enjoy a special evening with a meal as well. You can even showcase your own special appetizer or dessert to be enjoyed by all.
