Hi! My name is JD McDonald and I am from East Tennessee. I moved to Waco in 2020, in order to pursue a Master of Divinity degree at Baylor University's Truett Seminary. I'm so excited to work with the Naomi house as part of our chaplain team and pull from my experience working in Guatemala, as a social worker, youth minister, and as a therapist with unaccompanied minors. Not least, I hope to extend the hospitality and grace that I've received from Christ and from Dayspring to anyone who comes through our doors.
Some of my favorite things are outdoors hiking, fishing, gardening, or camping. I love to
play guitar and travel, and even when I'm in the midst of school deadlines I enjoy reading for fun too! My most favorite thing is visiting with people. If we're not friends yet, I hope we will be soon!
